What to Expect

We are always excited to be given the opportunity to welcome visitors to our services. We also realize that visiting churches can be an uncomfortable undertaking. We hope that by having an idea of what to expect when you come, you can more fully enjoy the experience.

Dress

We want our church to be a comfortable place for everyone. You will see ladies in everything from dresses to blue jeans and flannel shirts. You will also see men wearing anything from dress shirts and ties to blue jeans and t-shirts. The only thing we ask is that you dress modestly, in a manner appropriate to worshiping God.

Children

We do not separate the children from the adults during worship. We believe that children learn from watching adults in worship. Sometimes we have small parts of the worship that is designed for the children. We may even invite the children to come up front during part of worship to hear a story or object lesson. Your child can participate only if you and your child desires.

You are never required to put your child in a classroom. In fact, we encourage family worship and Bible study. We love children and realize that they can be squirmy and make noise. If they do need to be excused, we ask that you do so in as quiet of a manner as possible, so that others are not distracted from worship.

Parking

We have parking in the back of the church. You will notice two walkways. The wide one without handrails leads to the main entrance. You will also notice that the first parking space is for handicap parking.

Babies and Toddlers

We love having our children in worship with us and do not mind their little noises and squirms. We do offer a cry room for those who need it.

Services:

Sunday Morning

Our normal Sunday morning service begins with a song and then a greeting. This is a very informal time where the individuals go and welcome our visitors and greet each other before services are formally begun. We normally follow this with more music and then the sermon. After the sermon is our invitation to those who would like to come forward to make a public commitment to the Lord and then our offering and announcements. From week to week this may change or be added to or subtracted from, but overall this gives you a good feel for our Sunday morning service.

After services we share a snack and coffee together and spend some time visiting with one another. It is a great time of not just adult sharing, but for the kids also for the kids to interact with each other and with other Christian adults. Our goal is to create a church family were kids feel like they belong.

Bible Study:

Sunday Morning

Many times we combine the children and adult for a good part of our Sunday morning Bible study time, but we do separate from time to time, many times still staying in the same room. Being a small church we are able to find creative ways of learning in a family environment for this time each week.

Men's and Woman's Bible Study

The women meet in the cry room for Bible study so our children can play. We encourage the men to bring their sons to Bible study with them as soon as they feel they are ready, so they can participate in seeing men worshipping the Lord together.
